Indonesian Tower signs a Memorandum of Understanding with PTPN VIII
(Jakarta, 1st September, 2006)
The agreement was signed by SW Trenggono (President Director Indonesian Tower) and Ir. H.A. Halik, MM (President Director - PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (Persero)). Together both companies will improve and optimize land usage and income from erecting Base Transmitter Stations in tight cooperation with cellular telephone providers. The companies also agreed to pay special attention to environmental concerns in order not to disturb the landscape and the assets of PTPN VIII.

Indonesian Tower signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Perum Perhutani (National Forestry Corporation)

An MOU between Indonesian Tower and the National Forestry corporation was signed on 10th July 2006. This will foster cooperation between both company's for the purpose of jointly erecting towers on the land of the National Forestry corporation in Java and Madura. The MOU was signed by Mr. SW Trenggono (Indonesian Tower's CEO) and the principal of the National Forestry corporation Mr. Transtoto Handadhari.

The government of Jakarta announced a plan to issue licenses for telecommunication towers which at the moment are operated without a license. As part of Telkom's plan to migrate its infrastructure for CDMA clients

Unlicensed telecommunication towers in Jakarta to be dismantled

The national media has reported that the authorities in Jakarta are about to get tough on telecommunication operators who build and operate towers which do not have the necessary permits. In several areas of Jakarta warrants have been issued to dismantle such towers. In line with this development Indonesian Tower is currently being evaluated to be appointed as the government's partner in Tower management. Several municipalities such as Bangka - Belitung, Sukabumi and Purwakarta have already given 'green light' to such a partnership with Indonesian Tower. To read more please click here.

Launching of ASPIMTEL
(Jakarta, 15th November, 2005)
The 15th of November 2005 marks a special day for the participants in the Indonesian telecommunication infrastructure. On this day The Association of Indonesian Telecommunication Infrastructure Providers - ASPIMTEL has been officially inaugurated in the Hotel Grand Melia in Jakarta. The mission of this newly formed organization will be to coordinate the further expansion of telecommunication towers throughout Indonesia. Forming such an organization became necessary due to the rapid expansion of this industry. Indonesia is on the brink of becoming a forest of telecommunication towers, said Mr. Trenggono, the organization's chief executive, who is also the CEO of Indonesian Tower, the country's leading tower rental company. ASPIMTEL's mission is to work together with telecommunication service providers to create an environment whereby the tower infrastructure is being shared among several providers. This will ultimately help to reduce the amount of such towers and thereby create less visual impact on the environment and help to use the infrastructure more efficiently, which carries several benefits for all involved parties.

PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk has chosen Indonesian Tower to become a strategic partner for them

Indonesian Tower is proud to announce that another leading Indonesian cellular telephone service provider: XL (PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk) has chosen Indonesian Tower to become a strategic partner for them. Indonesian Tower will provide towers and base transmission stations to this client. An agreement for this has been signed among both parties who where represented through Mr. M. Buldansyah - director of network services and Mr. Jaffa Sany Ariffin - director of finance , on behalf of XL and Mr. Trenggono - CEO of Indonesian Tower and Mr. M.G. Gatot Tetuko - director of operations on behalf of Indonesian Tower. Equipment for eight sites has been ordered and another 72 sites are currently being reviewed.

This strategic agreement is a clear sign that Indonesian Tower continues and reaffirms its position as Indonesia's prime tower rental company.


Indonesian Tower has just finished a comprehensive training program
(Jakarta / Bogor, 31st August, 2005)
Indonesian Tower has just finished a comprehensive training program for 15 newly recruited employees who will be deployed at several locations throughout Indonesia and complement our existing support personnel. The focus of this training program was on discipline and technical competence. The disciplinary aspect which lasted for 3 weeks was done in cooperation with a sub division of the Indonesian army : RINDAM JAYA. Whereas the technical part of this comprehensive program which lasted for 3 weeks too was done together with Pusat Pelatihan MBT Bandung. Indonesian Tower has always recognized the importance of well trained and skilled personnel. However, unlike other companies we not only try to built the technical competence of our staff but by sending them to a military style training also develop their personalities. The new graduates of these training programs will now undergo a further step of training by our maintenance team who will give them the final instructions and knowledge they will require when they are out in the filed supporting our tower and repeater infrastructure.

This announcement was made during the CDMA Indonesia 2005 exhibition in Jakarta. The certificate was given by Mr. Keith Rowland (Business Centre Manager of LRQA Indonesia) to our President Director Sakti Wahyu Trenggono. Also present were Mr. Tanri Abeng (Chief Commissioner of PT Telkom) and Mr. Suryatin Setiawan (Director of Services - PT Telkom) and other distinguished guests.

Indonesian Tower has achieved a great step in extending its services to new customers

Today Indonesian Tower has achieved a great step in extending its services to new customers. In addition to our existing customers such as Telkom, Telkomsel and Telkom Flexi an agreement with PT Mobile-8 Telecom (Mobile-8), which represents the brands FREN and Mobile8 was signed. Mobile8 will start using our tower solutions. This agreement was signed by Lucy Suyanto (Financial Director) and Lukas A. Heryanto (Technical director) from Mobile8 and Mr. Gatot Tetuko (Director) from Indonesian Tower. As part of this agreement PT Wireless Indonesia (WIN) has just signed a contract with Indonesian Tower to use 15 of our existing towers to mount their equipment and thereby extending their network.
Mr. Gatot said that Indonesian Tower is confident that once this new client will have experienced the high level of our services and the reliability of our infrastructure other contracts from Mobile8 will follow soon and we look forward to become also a strategic partner to this new client.
